Goals Gym strive to offer the best services ensuring you can train and perform to your peak levels. We see huge importance in incorporating Sports Therapy sessions into your routine and offer these services to both members and non-members.

You don't need to be injured to see the benefits from sports therapy. Our sports therapists can help you move and feel better with sports massage or dry needling to relieve stress and tension, and optimise your recovery.

Our sports therapists differ from other therapists as they can utilise the floor space and professional equipment at Goals Gym to work with you on-site to ensure correct training technique and rehabilitation exercises.

Become a PT

Accredited Personal Trainer Courses

Become a Fully Qualified Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor with 6D Fitness HQ and Goals Gym. We have teamed up with the guys at 6D Fitness HQ and Focus Awards to bring this course to both Galway and Castlebar.

This blended learning course consists of online theory which you complete in your own time, and approx. 40 hours of practical work over 6 weekends in either our Galway or Castlebar facility. Full qualification can typically be achieved in just 3-4 months.

Level 2 Certification (RQF)
Level 2 Certification in Fitness Instructing (RQF) is accredited by Focus Awards and OFQUAL, CCEA. You can view the module breakdown below:
- Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health
- Assist participants to develop and maintain the motivation to adhere to exercise and physical health
- Health and safety and welfare promotion in active leisure and recreation
- Plan and prepare gym based exercise
- Instruct and supervise gym based exercise
Level 3 Diploma (RQF)
Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training (RQF) is accredited by Focus Awards and OFQUAL, CCEA. You can view the module breakdown below:
- Level 3 anatomy and physiology for exercise and training
- Applying the principles of nutrition to assist participants to maintain long term adherence to exercise and physical activity

Frequent Queries

Is there an induction for beginners?

Yes, everyone who signs up can book in for a 30 minute induction with a trainer. We will go through your specific goals, any limitations or injuries you may have and walk you through a programme that you can follow for up to 12 weeks.
Do you offer additional personal training?

Yes we have Personal Trainers on site that offer 1-to-1 training sessions for additional fee which can be discussed with them personally. All contact details are on the PT wall.
How do I book into fitness classes?

All of our classes require pre booking up to 48 hours in advance to ensure you get a space and to let our trainers now how many people to expect. You can click here to book in and select the desired class. If you can’t attend the class please be sure to cancel the booking to allow space for other members.
Do you have Free Parking on site?

Yes, our Galway and Mayo gyms both offer free parking for our members.

I've never taken a fitness class, will I be able?

Absolutely! We cater for everyone’s fitness ability and needs. We want you to join our classes to get fit, strong and healthy and most importantly to enjoy yourself in a fun environment with others. You work to your own ability in the class. As most of the classes pre-choreographed, the instructor will give options and choices for all levels.
Are there showers available?

Yes we have showers in all the changing rooms.
Is there somewhere safe for my valuables?

Yes we have individual lockers in all the changing rooms. You can purchase a lock at reception or bring your own.
What age do you have to be to join?

You must be over 16 years of age to use the gym.
